The fiber softening temperature is 373 degrees Celsius. It starts to decompose when it exceeds 400 degrees Celsius. When decomposing, the cloth surface thickens and the fiber expands. The outer surface of the cloth is isolated from heat transfer at 900-1300 degrees Celsius without cracking.
